Artist's Description

Sleeping Bear Bay located in Glen Haven, Michigan. Was once a shipping port of lumber and firewood. Below is DH Day Farm built in 1880s and 1890s. DH Day grew hay and corn to feed 400 Hogs and heard of 200 Holsteins.

Randy Pollard, a self taught photographer, who resides in the Great Lakes of Michigan. Completed photography study at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and the Photo Workshop of Rod Planck, a well known Michigan Photographer. I have won several local newspaper awards through Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards. Some of my images are permanently displayed at Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As I was growing up my father was into photography, my passion started when he purchased my first camera, a Tanack Type IV, a 35mm film camera was given to me after being influenced in photography by my father.
